An Ultra Rare Rolex to be Auctioned

For Many vintage watch enthusiasts it is the historical, dual time zone pilot’s wristwatch that they describe as their first watch, their first great watch or their first Rolex, but not many or any in that matter have owned a Rolex 1675 GMT Master.

The GMT is best compared to the Day Date in regards to the idea that it is one of the few Rolex’s to have a considerable number of bezel, case and dial variations. There are various bezels but the most uncommon is the blueberry bezels.

There are certain 1675 dials that are golden whilst others are matte. Also minor details like the underline beneath Officially certified on the dial can add major value. 1675’s mainly have regular crown guards and pointed crown guards, but there some that have no crown guards.

The original and amazing Blueberry GMT is to be offered up in an upcoming auction. The auction is to be held at Antiquorum on April the 15th in New York. This is exciting news for watch collectors.

It has become difficult to find a good example of the Blueberry 1675. This owed mainly to the amount of replicas of blue bezels that can be found all over the internet.

The Blueberry GMT Master is estimated between $15 000 and $20 000.

This watch is a cross between the 9411 Tudor Snowflake and the 1680 Submariner. However the benefit of owning this GMT though is that it is a far slimmer and more wearable case.

The 1675 has the GMT function which is perfect for those that travel often.
